The year 2009 marked the 140th anniversary of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church! We celebrated this with the theme  REJOICE, REFLECT and RENEW ourselves as we celebrated our shared history of faith in Minneapolis and beyond!

REFLECT—During the Lenten Season the congregation reflected on our history.

RENEW—-At Pentecost we hosted an Our Saviour’s Picnic with a chance to celebrate and share hopes for Our Saviour’s over the next 10 years, until we’re 150 years old!!  On Pentecost Sunday, May 23, we gathered for worship and praise.  We reaffirmed our baptism into the life and death of our Risen Lord.  As we move into the future, we will take into our bodies the body and blood of Jesus, continuing to be his hands and feet for the sake of the world. 

If you are interested in making a special donation to Our Saviour’s in honor of our 140 years together in the Minneapolis area, a special anniversary fund has been created.  Donations to this fund will be divided between music ministry (piano and organ maintenance), youth ministry and an archival project to preserve our historical documents, photos and artifacts.
